Abstract

This research is based on the low ability to memorize the Qur'an which is influenced by the learning process which only focuses on assignments, the media used by the teacher is still in the form of images that only exist in student books, student creativity is also not very prominent, and learning outcomes students are still low. Before the make a match model was used, student learning outcomes only reached a class average of 56. After learning using the make a match model, in cycle 1 the average student score was 59 while in cycle 2 it was 67 and in cycle 3 it was 74 This has increased, although not significantly and gradually. Through the make a match model it can also stimulate students to be active in group learning in class, students can find their own learning and the teacher only provides reinforcement. Using the make a match learning model based on research results can improve memorization skills, learning outcomes, understanding, knowledge, increase direct student involvement in learning activities which will ultimately support increased achievement in learning to memorize the Al-Qur'an
